Cync devices are designed for hub-free operation, connecting directly to Wi-Fi via the Cync App (powered by Savant). They support voice control through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, with newer devices adopting the Matter standard for broad interoperability.

• How do I reset my Cync smart bulb?

  To factory reset most Cync bulbs, turn the light off and on 5 times (waiting about 2 seconds between each toggle). The bulb will flash 3 times to indicate a successful reset.

• Do Cync devices require a separate hub?

  No. Cync Direct Connect lights and accessories connect directly to your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth without the need for an external hub, though some older 'C by GE' Bluetooth-only bulbs required a C-Reach bridge for remote control.

• Can I use Cync bulbs with a dimmer switch?

  No. Cync smart bulbs connect to standard on/off switches but are not compatible with traditional wall dimmers, which can cause flickering or damage. Dimming should be controlled via the Cync App or a Cync Smart Switch.

• What apps does Cync work with?

  Cync devices operate using the 'Cync' app (formerly the C by GE app). They are also compatible with Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and select devices support the Matter standard for Apple Home integration.
