- Unpack the Samurai and power cord.
- Attach the Power Cord and nest the cord in the channel on the underside of the unit.

- With the Pro Stand’s back side facing you, locate the two Alignment Posts on the Samurai (A). These align with the Alignment Holes of the Pro Stand (B). Insert the Alignment Posts into the Alignment Holes to properly align the Samurai for Pro Stand installation.

- Attach the Samurai by installing the remaining 2 Thumb Screws into the screw holes of the Pro Stand and Samurai (A).

INSTALL THE DEBURRING DISC
- Turn the Red Adjustment Knob fully left to align with the arrow (A).

- REMOVE THE CATCH TRAY Press the red button on the right side of the Samurai (B) below the power switch and pull the tray gently downward to remove it. Once the right side is released, lower the tray, move the tray slightly to left to unhinge, and set aside.

- INSTALL THE DEBURRING DISC Press and hold the red spindle lock button (C) above the spindle. Push the disc inward (compressing the spring), rotate right ¼ turn, then release the button.

- REINSTALL THE CATCH TRAY. Hinge the tray on the left side, then lift and click the right side back into place.
USING THE 4MM SKATE GUIDE
- If you are deburring a blade that is 4mm wide, such as a Figure Skate, you must switch to the 4mm Skate Guide. Lift the left side of the installed Skate Guide until the Skate Guide releases (A). Then insert the 4mm Skate Guide and press until the Skate Guide snaps in(B).

USING THE SPARX SAMURAI™
POWERING ON THE SPARX SAMURAITM
- Turn the Power Switch on to operate the Samurai. The Deburring Disc will begin spinning.
- ملحوظة: The unit will automatically power off after 10 minutes of inactivity. If this happens, the LED indicator will pulse green. To restart, cycle the power switch off and then on again.
ADJUST THE DEBURRING DISC
- Slowly turn the Adjustment Knob (A) until you hear the disc just touch the metal insert inside the Skate Guide (B). Next, turn the Adjustment Knob back one click to ensure correct pressure. The Adjustment Knob should be pointing near the full end of the deburring disc life indicator.
- ملحوظة: We recommend adjusting the knob after every pair to maintain optimal pressure — this does not reduce the life of the deburring disc. You may find yourself moving the Adjustment Knob forward one click or back to the original position, depending on usage.
DEBURRING PROCESS
- Each skate should only require two passes, one per side. For unusually heavy burrs, additional passes may be required. The spring-loaded deburring disc automatically applies the correct pressure when properly adjusted
- Grip the skate (One hand on laces, one on the heel) or use the Universal Blade Holder (sold separately) for blade-only deburring.

- DEBURRING PASS Make a smooth arc through the Skate Guide, start with the toe angled so only the toe is in contact with the Skate Guide to ensure the toe is properly deburred (A), flatten the skate through the midsection (B) and finish with the heel out to ensure the heel is properly deburred (C).

- Flip the skate and repeat, this time move from heel to toe. If a partial burr remains on the heel or toe, you may deburr a small section of the blade.

DEBURRING WITH PRO STAND (OPTIONAL)
- When the Samurai is on the Pro Stand, the deburring process is the same as on a flat surface. With toe-in to start, flatten through the middle, then angle the heel as you finish. When done with one pass, flip the skate and repeat, moving heel to toe.
REPLACING DEBURRING DISC
ADJUST THE DEBURRING DISC
- When the Adjustment Knob points to the “Empty” end of the Deburring Disc Life Indicator (A), the motor will stop spinning andthe LED will flash purple (B), the Samurai will automatically power off, signaling it’s time to replace the Deburring Disc.

- Power OFF (A) the Samurai.

- Remove the Catch Tray as described previously and empty the tray contents into the trash.

- Remove the Catch Tray as described previously and empty the tray contents into the trash.
- Install a new Deburring Disc, using the instructions from Step 3.
- Reinstall the Catch Tray.
