Installing Dell Command | Configure for Dell Command Secure BIOS Configuration
Hardware Security Module (HSM) is used as a signing method for the Dell Command Secure BIOS Configuration workflow.
NOTE: Dell Command Secure BIOS Configuration(DCSBC) is not compatible with ARM64-bit systems.
المتطلبات الأساسية
Dell Command Secure BIOS Configuration with Dell Command | Configure allows you to use any Hardware Security Module vendor to sign the Dell Command Secure BIOS Configuration Server payloads. Ensure that the following requirements are met: HSM Setup and OpenSSL: Ensure that you have set up your Hardware Security Module (HSM) provider in your
environment. It is recommended to use OpenSSL as the open-source signing tool to generate signatures, which can then be used by Dell Command | Configure. Update HSMSigning.bat File: You must update the HSMSigning.bat file with a command compatible with your HSM setup. This file is at: C:Program Files (x86)DellCommand ConfigureX86_64HSMSigning.bat. Modify the signature generation command in line 12 according to your HSM provider requirements. The default command is: “%OpensslPath%openssl.exe” dgst -sha256 -sign “%ObfuscatedKeyPath%%PrivateKeyName%” -out “%outlocat%blobsignature.txt” %1 . Ensure that the command you provide generates the signature in the same path as specified in the default command, with the filename set as blobsignature.txt. Do not modify the last option %1, as it allows the signature command to accept the payload file that is generated by Dell Command | Configure during runtime for signing.
